Basildon, Essex, England

Est. 2015

At the bottom of the hill, at the end of Church Road, having gone past The Old Rectory and Bowers Hall (a private residence) is the Church of St. Margaret's.

Next to the train line (Southend Central to Fenchurch Street) is St. Margaret’s Church.  The church is Grade II listed and was first built in the 1300’s by Sir John Giffard, with additions being added 300 years later and incorporated in to the renovations in 1910.

In the churchyard is the large family grave of Harold George Howard, the man responsible for the Tudor looks in Pitsea’s town centre, and the War Memorial in Howard’s Park.
